Kinomos Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Kinomos collects, uses and protects information when you browse the website, create an account, register a business, make a payment, or install the Kinomos progressive web app (PWA).
Android and iOS apps
The native Kinomos apps connect to the same online service. Saved business details are stored on your device for offline access. You can remove them under Account → Clear saved places. A connected-account credential is stored using protected device storage and can be removed by disconnecting the account.
Native subscription purchases are processed by Apple or Google and verified through RevenueCat. An opaque Kinomos account identifier and purchase information are used to restore purchases and maintain subscription access. Kinomos does not receive your app-store card details.
The app can open the device share sheet when you choose Share. Upload and device access prompts depend on the feature you use; permission is not required simply to browse. To delete your account, use Account → Delete your account or the account deletion page. Store subscriptions must be cancelled separately in Apple or Google settings.
If you enable native device alerts, Kinomos stores a device push token linked to your app session. Apple or Google delivers these alerts. Disconnecting the app session removes its registration; you can also turn alerts off in the app or phone settings.
Information we collect
We may collect account and contact details, business listing information, content you submit, payment references and subscription status, device/browser information, security logs, and usage information needed to operate and protect the service. Kinomos does not store full card details; payment processing is handled by the payment provider.
How we use information
We use information to provide accounts and listings, process subscriptions, send service messages, prevent fraud and abuse, support users, improve Kinomos, and comply with legal obligations.
PWA installation and offline storage
The installed PWA is the Kinomos website running in an app-like window. It does not install a separate APK from Kinomos. The service worker caches public static assets and a dedicated offline page only. Authenticated HTML pages, profiles, account pages, and payment pages are not stored for offline access.
Browser storage and prompts
We use cookies and browser storage for sessions, security, preferences, installation state, and to remember dismissed promotional prompts. You can clear this information using your browser’s site-data controls.
Device permissions
Kinomos does not request camera, microphone, location, motion-sensor or USB access merely to install the PWA. If a future feature needs a device permission, the browser will ask you before access is granted.
Optional device notifications
If you enable device alerts, we store your browser's push endpoint, encryption keys, alert preferences and a reference to your login session. We use your browser's push provider to deliver alerts. You can choose followed-account posts and business search summaries in notification settings. Signing out removes subscriptions associated with that browser session. Expired sessions are removed when delivery is attempted. Notification permission can also be revoked in your browser or phone settings.
Business search summaries use recorded matching searches, not individual searcher identities. Search counts do not represent unique visitors or confirmed customer enquiries.
Sharing and external services
We share only the information necessary with infrastructure, email, analytics, storage and payment providers that help operate Kinomos. Business promotions may open WhatsApp or another external service; that provider’s privacy terms then apply.
Security and retention
We use HTTPS, secure cookies, restricted browser capabilities, access controls and security monitoring. No system is completely risk-free, so users should protect their passwords and report suspicious activity. We retain information only as long as needed for the service, security, accounting and legal requirements.
Your choices
You may update your profile, control notification preferences, clear browser storage, uninstall the PWA, or request access, correction or deletion of eligible personal information.
